So, you may not know this... but I love American Girl mini dolls! I much prefer the older ones, with the
real cloth bodies *cough cough BeForever* but I think they are adorable and absolutely perfect if you are a collector of them or you want to give a great gift to your 18" dolls!
Most of this information was found on American Girl Dolls Wiki. Hope you enjoy!

Okay, so let's start off with the fact mini dolls used to come with cloth bodies, neck strings, and a hardcover book. Instead of lots of eyelashes, they came with a few on each side. I personally like this look. Some say they think the older eye is creepy, but I like it much better. They came in boxes much like the dolls, with a box and one circle window in the front where you could see the face. I just think there is something more special about seeing a peep of your mini doll's face and opening her vs. Seeing so many holes in the box. You can see the book and so much of her face. There is not as much surprise, I think.

Are you serious, AG? You can
see that the new box has not much covering in the front. I think this is less special.
Also, a hardcover book is very cute and actually makes it look like your doll has some good reading material, instead of what now makes it look like she has an
I Can Read! book. The paperback minis are cute, however I believe the mini hardcovers were better in cost to quality ratio. I think looking on eBay for a mini doll (if you like, you can even find one new in the original packaging that has not ever been opened before) is much more worth your time and money than buying a $25 mini doll that is worse quality. I love American Girl but they could definitely step up their quality like it was in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Overall, I would totally recommend any mini doll you find precious. :)
I hope you enjoyed this post! Thank you for reading! :D
